BMS Service Technician – HVAC Maintenance Pro

Positions available in both Sydney and Brisbane, the BMS Service Technician will be responsible for performing BMS service maintenance on multiple different platforms while utilising reports from the VAE Bureau to ensure the service maintenance delivers a targeted outcome for the customer.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- Provide quotations and deliver service jobs or installation works as required

- Provide technical support for maintenance contracts and warranties

- Implement control sequence changes and updates as required

- Conduct detailed inspections of buildings/sites

- Establish preventative maintenance and repair schedules

- Develop strong relationships with customers

Reporting to the Customer Account Manager and based in Winnellie Darwin, you will be responsible for performing hands on complex maintenance to all HVAC systems and working on various ongoing and upcoming jobs in the NT region.

Further incentives may also be available for additional work outside of Darwin, servicing contracts in regional NT.

Your will report to the Technology Operations Manager and based in Sydney. As an BMS/Applications Engineer at VAE, you will work collaboratively within the Service and Project teams to design, implement, commission, and optimise building automation systems and integration platforms. Your focus will be on delivering high-performance solutions using DISTECH controllers within the Tridium Niagara framework, supporting systems across Building Management Systems (BMS), ICT networks, software development, cybersecurity, and mechanical/HVAC engineering. Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- Design, program, and commission building automation and integration systems using DISTECH and Tridium Niagara.

- Optimise building performance through energy-efficient and AI-driven control strategies.

- Deliver end-to-end engineering, including design, documentation, commissioning, and tuning.

- Provide technical leadership and mentoring across project and service teams.

- Engage clients and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.

- Uphold safety, compliance, and quality in all engineering activities.

Reporting to the Service Manager – Cairns and based in Cairns, the Service Projects Supervisor will play a vital role in managing and leading Service Projects in the Cairns region to achieve optimum profitability whilst providing certainty to our customers, our employees and our sub-contractors. - Complete projects on time and within budget, maximizing variations.

- Provide monthly cost estimates, cash flow, and progress claims.

- Assess risks, manage costs, and optimize project outcomes.

- Review contracts, manage suppliers, and ensure compliance.

- Assist with tenders, evaluate specs, and follow up on pricing.

- Identify risks, resolve issues, and support project success.

- Oversee daily activities, site operations, and work schedules.
