Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Arana Hills. As a key member of our management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, delivering exceptional customer service, and leading our staff to success.
- Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and maintaining high standards of food quality and service
- Lead and motivate the team during busy service periods, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Conduct staff training and development programmes to enhance skills and maintain service excellence
- Proactively improve guest experience through innovative solutions and attentive service
- Assist in inventory management, including stock control and ordering supplies
- Support financial management tasks, such as cash handling, reconciliations, and basic reporting
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and company policies
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain menu quality and consistency
- Participate in staff scheduling and rota management to ensure optimal coverage
- Assist in implementing marketing initiatives and promotional activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading a team within a busy, high-volume hospitality environment
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for inspiring, leading, and developing team members
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment
- Basic financial acumen and understanding of restaurant operations
- Food handling certification (desirable)
- Relevant qualification in hospitality management or related field (preferred)
