Team Member Logistics Level 6 (Multi Skilled Operator/Labourer)

Role supports council’s direction by undertaking a wide range of truck driving, plant operation and labouring tasks as part of a multi-disciplined team that provides support to Council’s teams responsible for the construction and maintenance of council’s infrastructure assets in accordance with recognised standards.

Remuneration: Annual salary commencing at $70,883, plus up to 13% superannuation.

Role Responsibilities

- Undertake a wide range of truck driving, plant operation and labouring tasks as part of a multi-disciplined team that supports the construction and maintenance of council infrastructure assets in accordance with recognised standards.
- Operate and maintain council plant, vehicles, equipment and tools in a competent and proficient manner.
- Demonstrate physical agility and dexterity to carry out labouring with frequent heavy lifting and bending.
- Maintain harmony within a team and foster good working relationships with council employees and members of the public.
- Hold a current Driver Licence Class Heavy-Combination (HC) or above.
- RIIMPO321B – Conduct Civil Construction Wheeled Front End Loader Operations.
- Construction Industry White/Blue Card.
- Operate and maintain medium complexity heavy plant and equipment to deliver the council’s work program in accordance with the relevant Award.
- Perform labouring tasks safely and efficiently to deliver the council’s work program to quality standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve work practices in line with council's continuous improvement commitment.

Qualifications & Experience

- Demonstrated ability to undertake specialised tasks including operation and maintenance of Council plant, vehicles, equipment and tools.
- Demonstrated physical agility and dexterity for labouring tasks and heavy lifting.
- Current Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence (HC) or above that is active and maintained.
- RIIMPO321B – Conduct Civil Construction Wheeled Front End Loader Operations.
- Construction Industry White/Blue Card.
- Ability to operate as a specialist, operating and maintaining medium complexity heavy plant and equipment to deliver the council’s work program.
