Position Information
Established in 1927, Glen Innes High School is a comprehensive, co-educational secondary school (Years 7–12) located in the Northern Tablelands of NSW, on the traditional lands of the Ngarrabul People of the Gomaroi Nation. The school serves approximately 460 students, with 19% identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and emphasizes support, inclusion, and community connection.
The school fosters high expectations and a culture of excellence, with opportunities in leadership, academics, sport, drama, music, and the visual arts, and supports student wellbeing through a dedicated Wellbeing Team and initiatives such as Night Library and mentoring outside of school hours.
Responsibilities
- Teach Technology-Metal in the TAS faculty as approved.
- Collaborate as a member of the TAS faculty to contribute to program and resource development.
- Plan and deliver quality differentiated teaching and learning programs for diverse student needs.
- Implement effective classroom management and manage practical workspaces to create a safe, engaging, inclusive classroom with high expectations.
Selection Criteria
- 1. Approval to teach Technology-Metal.
- 2. Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within the TAS faculty and contribute to programs and resources.
- 3. Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver differentiated teaching and learning programs for diverse learners.
- 4. Capacity to implement effective classroom management and safe, engaging practical spaces.
Conditions
A Relocation Support Payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 is available for eligible applicants.
An unconditional full approval to teach is required. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
