About the Role:

- This is a Part-Time ongoing position at 45.6 hours per fortnight within the Workplace Health and Safety Department.
- You will contribute to the development and implementation of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy, utilising an evidence-based approach that includes conducting literature reviews, analysing qualitative data, and leveraging various data sources to ensure informed decision-making.
- You will support the design and implementation of RCH-tailored education collateral aligned with the evolving direction of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy
- You will translate strategies into programs or projects to achieve health and wellbeing outcomes, defining governance, success measures and progress monitoring
- You will support the RCH/'s safety-first culture and encourage staff to utilise tools to improve and maintain optimal health and work-life balance.

What you/'ll achieve:

- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy, with a focus on embedding a culture of health, safety and wellbeing across the organisation
- Lead the advocacy, promotion, and facilitation of health, safety, and wellbeing activities as part of the Staff Wellbeing Strategy
- Prepare reporting on key performance indicators, specifically provision of monthly reporting on the status of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy
- Support the development, review and revision of policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to the Healthand Wellbeing portfolio helping RCH meet its obligations
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Psychology, Counselling or related field, with a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant industry experience

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and Psychosocial Codes of Practice
- Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of health and wellbeing and cultural change programs

About RCH Workplace Health and Safety:

The Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team is committed to leading and promoting a safety first culture by providing an environment that supports the physical and psychological health and wellbeing of employees. The WHS team is responsible for: managing the ongoing development and maintenance of workplace health and safety practices; managing the organisational-wide health and safety risk register and coordination of risk registers for high-risk departments; the Early Intervention Program and assisting employees returning to the workplace after an injury; coordination and facilitation of WHS training and education; ensuring the physical and mental health and wellbeing of staff is supported through the development and implementation of programs and initiatives designed to enhance employee wellbeing; and managing the Employee Assistance Program as a key resource for employees and managers in support of work and life issue
