Responsibilities

Quick overview of the role We are currently seeking a Production Operator to join our friendly evening/afternoon shift team in a full-time capacity. Standard afternoon shift hours are 2pm-10.10pm Mon-Thurs & 12pm-6pm Fri. The Production Operator/Loader is responsible for setting up and operating machinery to cut and bend steel into structural shapes, specified by work order, drawings, templates or layout as relevant to the machine. This will involve setting up the machine, monitoring the production process, and making adjustments as needed to ensure that the rebar shapes are produced to the required specifications. - Setup and operate machinery to cut and bend steel into structural shapes.

- Monitor the production process and make adjustments as needed.

- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

- Conduct pre-start checks on all equipment and machinery before it is used.

- Report any faults to your manager/supervisor immediately.

- Quality check product as required to ensure they meet production requirements.

- Take pride in your machine and work area – ensuring it is clean and well-maintained

- Report any breakdowns, safety issues or hazards.

- Maintain the highest workplace safety standards.

Qualifications

- Physically fit and able to operate machinery

- Interest in machinery and production

- Ability to always follow safety procedures

- Ability to work as a team

- Forklift license highly regarded
