Community Bridging Services (CBS) Inc. is offering you the exciting and rewarding opportunity to make a difference to the lives of people with a disability as part of our new Aim Wider Program.
Aim Wider, funded through the Australian Government Department for Social Services’ (DSS) Structural Adjustment Fund, builds upon the success of CBS Inc. Aim Higher program - a program for youth leaving school. Aim Wider will help adults with high support needs take real steps to explore and plan career pathways, build skills, confidence and networks to move into open employment.
Employment type: Part-time, Fixed-Term contract until June 2026, subject to ongoing funding
Hours: 30.4 – 38 hours per week

About the Role
- Work with participants to achieve positive outcomes such as employability skills, personal development, improved quality of life and enjoyment in a welcoming and inclusive learning environment
- Use a strengths-based & person-centred approach to provide group-based and one‑on‑one supports
- Assisting Aim Higher Wider participants reach their employment goals by providing feedback and guidance
- Research, develop, maintain and report on progress of the projects
- Establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders including management, including an ongoing basis with stakeholders to meet agreed outcomes and ensure project success
- Assist with the establishing services designed to provide open employment options for people living with a disability under the guidance of the Projects Coordinator
- Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills to comfortably present as a public speaker at events
- Support scheduling arrangements and preparing delivery materials including equipment for information session and workshops
- Complete and assist with administrative tasks for the development of the projects, including assisting with seeking employment and work experience
- Contribute to new business development including involvement in planning meetings and grant writing
- Assist and develop tools and resources to deliver project activities as required
- Find work experience for participants in your area aligned to their strengths and interests.
- Support participants in work experience when necessary.
- Participating in meetings with employers, families and advocates where necessary
- Encouraging the inclusion of people with a disability in all aspects of community life
- Collate and maintain data to meet reporting requirements and deadlines
- Ensure that activities comply with all relevant legislation and professional standards
Position Requirements
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence - P2 minimum (essential)
- Meet the current COVID-19 Vaccine requirement – medical exemption acceptable (or willingness to obtain)
- Relevant DHS / NDIS checks and clearances in accordance with the role requirements (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Manual Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Child Safe Environments Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
