About Our Client

Our client is a large organisation operating in the industrial/manufacturing sector. With a robust presence across Australia, they pride themselves on their commitment to quality, innovation, and integrity.

Job Description

*Support the Statutory Reporting Manager in coordinating the external audit process for the Group and ensure all external audit requirements are satisfied.

*Prepare Audit and Risk Committee reports on key accounting matters.

*Co-ordinate and review annual impairment testing on all CGU's and impairment trigger reviews at each reporting date.

*Assist with developing and maintaining effective governance practices, including coordination of the financial reporting questionnaire process.

*Establish and update Group Accounting policies in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and provide analysis of new accounting standard developments.

*Development and delivery of technical accounting training programmes for divisions.

*Provide a source of technical accounting knowledge and advice for use throughout the group as and when required, including drafting and reviewing technical accounting papers and engaging with external advisors where appropriate.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA Qualification
- Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
- Auditing experience within big-four firm.
- Compliance experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
