Job Role Overview

The Yard Operative plays a vital role in the handling, storage, and movement of GRP building products, working as part of a small, efficient team to ensure seamless operations. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to health and safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Accountabilities

- Receiving & Storage: Unload and store finished products in designated picking locations, ensuring correct placement.

- Scanning & Inventory: Scan all items to allocated racking, maintaining accurate stock records.

- Order Picking: Select required items from pick sheets, collate, palletise, and band them for loading.

- Loading & Dispatch: Load and scan all items onto vehicles safely, reporting any missing or damaged items.

- Adherence to Safety Rules: Follow all company safety procedures, maintaining compliance with workplace regulations.

- Housekeeping: Keep all areas clean and organized to promote a safe working environment.

Role Requirements

- Ability to work efficiently within a team and follow structured processes.

- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stock handling.

- Physically fit to manage lifting, moving, and organizing materials safely.
