Salary: Teacher, $85,610 - $124,046 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)

This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency.

Ellenbrook SC is seeking a talented, hardworking, dedicated and enthusiastic Home Economics Teacher. Ideally, the successful applicant will have a proven ability to provide high quality learning experiences for all students and be willing to join our team of like-minded professionals.

The successful applicant would have the opportunity to work in our Home Economics Team across a variety of contexts including food, textiles and child care with the possibility of pursuing areas of specialty. You should possess an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to teach students of varying ability levels across Years 7 – 12 in a highly engaging manner. The ability to teach any certificate qualifications, in relation to Hospitality and Community Services, would also be advantageous.

As the successful applicant, you should be highly motivated; student and relationship focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences. You will ideally utilise innovative initiatives and be able to work effectively within a dynamic team. This may involve you reflecting and assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice and cultivating a safe learning environment. You will use your effective interpersonal skills to work closely with students, teachers and the community to instil rigour, resilience and pride, allowing students to achieve to their full potential.
