The Opportunity
ElectraNet is the owner and operator of South Australia's electricity transmission network. We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineering Manager based in Adelaide, Australia on a permanent, fulltime basis to deliver engineering services for our critical Regulated and Contestable Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in shaping the future of energy in SA.
In this role, you'll:
- Oversee and ensure the timely delivery of all engineering project deliverables, including scope, quality, and time, while managing the engineering associated project risks and resolving complex technical engineering issues in a proactive manner.
- Manage and allocate technical resources for engineering design and construction reviews, ensuring compliance with ElectraNet's Engineering Management System and Safety in Design (SiD) processes.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to develop detailed User Requirements Specifications and coordinate project designs to meet these specifications.
- Drive key project outcomes by providing technical engineering expertise and operational support, maintaining a solutions-focused approach.
- Set clear boundaries and manage interface points across all engineering disciplines and with clients to ensure complete scope development and successful integration of technical deliverables.
About You
The successful candidate will have significant experience (10+ years) successfully delivering engineering outcomes in either electrical, civil or structural industries, including project scope, specification development, managing design reviews, on site project inspection and safety in design process.
Additionally, you'll have:
- Degree in Electrical, Civil or Structural Engineering (essential)
- Eligibility for Engineering Australia membership (essential)
- An understanding of electricity-related engineering project delivery, particularly in relation to substation and transmission components and operation.
- Highly developed analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation skills.
