About the role

Support Food Service delivery at Uniting AgeWell Kingsville, by providing a service in accordance with the current planned menu and requirements of the Food Safety Program, that supports and enhances resident’s individual needs and wellbeing.

Tasks include:

- Working within a multidisciplinary team, maintaining daily and periodic cleaning schedules for food preparation and food service areas

- Permanent part time vacancy working the following roster –

- Week one: Thursday, Friday 3pm-7.30pm

- Week two: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 3pm-7.30pm

- Serving residents meals in dining hall services and trolley service to rooms, washing dishes, sandwich making, providing cups of tea or coffee to residents and their visitors

- Provide feedback regarding residents’ likes and dislikes regarding menu planning and escalating any observations or concerns in residents conditions

- Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with residents, their relatives and friends

- Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise

About you

This is the place for you if you:

- Have experience and expertise working in food service; preferably in a health, hotel or aged care setting

- Have availability to work 3pm-7.30pm on the above mentioned roster

- Can work at a fast pace as part of a team

- Are experienced in customer service and provide excellent standard of service

- Have the initiative and ability to work without supervision

- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

Essentials for working in Aged Care

- A current Working With Children Check (VIC) Employee card

- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations

- Australian working rights

- Ability to pass a national police clearance and

- Hold a valid NDIS Clearance
