Senior Fullstack Engineer

This role offers the opportunity to join a high-performing, fully remote engineering team and help shape the future of an AI-first financial platform. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will influence architectural decisions, drive engineering best practices, and deliver high-impact features that directly improve the financial decision-making of small and medium businesses. You will work across the full stack with TypeScript, React, Postgres, and AWS, owning projects end-to-end while collaborating closely with Product, Growth, and leadership teams. Accountabilities:

- Lead the design, development, and delivery of new platform features, services, and system improvements.

- Influence and contribute to the technical roadmap, architecture, and long-term scalability of the AI-first product.

- Build reliable, maintainable, and observable systems while championing engineering best practices.

- Own projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing optimization.

- Collaborate with Product, Growth, and other cross‑functional teams to solve high‑impact business problems.

- Mentor and contribute to building a strong engineering culture based on trust, autonomy, and craftsmanship.

Requirements:

- Proven experience building large-scale software applications.

- Strong proficiency with TypeScript, Node.js, React, SQL, and modern frontend and backend architectures.

- Hands‑on experience with AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, and CDK.

- Solid understanding of system design, architecture, and maintainability best practices.

- Experience with unit and integration testing.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in a remote, asynchronous environment.

- Self‑motivated mindset with ownership, curiosity, and a focus on continuous improvement.

- Prior experience in startup environments is preferred.

- Must have full Australian work rights and be based in Australia.
