Software Engineer (Systems Architect)

Location: Canning Vale, Australia. Sector: IT. Salary: $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 per annum.

We are seeking a Software Engineer (Systems Architect) at Pioneer Freightlines, who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient software systems that support our logistics and freight operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our technology infrastructure aligns with business objectives and industry best practices.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Design and implement system architectures aligned with business requirements and technical specifications.
- Ensure software systems are scalable, reliable, and high performing.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure software quality.
- Implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs and user manuals.
- Keep documentation up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define software requirements.
- Explain technical concepts effectively to non-technical team members.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Recommend and implement new technologies to enhance system performance and development processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum 1 year of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer or Systems Architect.
- Strong proficiency in system architecture and design principles.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
