The Sydney studios of national broadcaster ABC is opening a position for a data journalist.

The data journalist will be assigned to use infographics, data science, and statistics as part of producing and presenting stories, breaking down the complex material for easier audience understanding.

They will also assemble data sets from various sources to drive insights and content for NSW audiences across all ABC platforms, plus lead ABC’s new States Data Teams program.

Applicants must be journalists with over three years’ experience in digital content production, including a detailed record of data analysis and presentation. Candidates with proficiency in statistical analysis methods may be considered.
