HV Electrician

ThiessSonoma Mine situated 10km south of Collinsville are seeking an experienced HV Electrician for permanent full-time position to join our project. As our next High VoltageElectrician,reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results. In this position you will: - Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess maintenance systems documentation. - Work safely and comply with the site safety health and management system. - Completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change outs and periodical statutory electrical testing/ inspections to a high regard. - Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems. - Conduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilization. Our requirements To be considered for these opportunities you are required to have: - Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Trade Certificate, with post-trade experience working in the Mining industry with diesel electric haul trucks, preferably Hitachi AC, Liebherr, Komatsu or Cat - Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007 - Experienced in high voltage equipment maintenance - Experience conducting statutory testing on electrical infrastructure. - Statement of Attainment for HV Switching - Registered cabler would be an advantage What Thiess can do for you - 7/7 Even time, lifestyle roster - 12-hour day and night shift - Attendance bonus - $450.00 per fortnight - Retention bonus -$10,000 (inclusive of superannuation) - Full camp facilities provided - BIBO from Townsville or DIDO options - Living out of camp allowance, if applicable - Salary sacrifice options – flights & novated leasing About us To find out more about our company, visit the following links; Our History Our Vision, purpose, values Our Projects Sustainability & MORE To apply for this role, please click the ‘Apply’ button.
