Senior Specialist – Sourcing and Contracting

Reporting to the Principal Sourcing and Contracting (Mining, Production and Support Services), you will drive end-to-end supply activities including strategy development, market engagement, and contract management to deliver maximum value and operational efficiency across our Australian assets.

This role will be based in Melbourne, Victoria on a Monday – Friday roster.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

- Degree qualifications in Supply, Business or Commercial, or professional qualification/certification from related professional body i.e. Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of sourcing activities, negotiating, developing commercial arrangements and competent in the use of SAP, Ariba or similar ERP system.
- Ability to understand and apply category management principles, scope of works and needs of specific categories.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct end-to-end supply activity from strategy to contract execution and handover.
- Operate thorough market engagement activities including direct negotiations, EOIs, RFQs and RFPs.
- Engage closely with internal and external stakeholders to support and deliver on their requirements.
- Develop and present recommendations based on informed intelligence.
- Review supply processes and practices to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
