Care Assistant (Maternity Cover) - Nights
Avery Healthcare is one of the UK's largest providers of luxury elderly care homes, dedicated to creating meaningful experiences for both residents and employees. They are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Care Assistant to join their award-winning team on a permanent night shift basis.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of personal care, contributing to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene while maintaining independence, dignity and respect at all times.
- Recognise and understand clinical risk areas (e.g., weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infection) and escalate identified risks promptly.
- Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
- Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

Your focus as Care Assistant is to deliver high standards of personal care and contribute fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

To be successful, you will demonstrate caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable values. Experience is not required as Avery offers a thorough induction and training programme to ensure confidence in the role. Our ideal candidate must:
- Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
- Be an efficient worker who can carry out reasonable instructions from other team members.
- Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
