About the role

Estia Health Kangaroo Flat is a welcoming home for approximately 120 residents, located in the City of Greater Bendigo, just 10 minutes from Bendigo’s town centre and around 2 hours from Melbourne. Join our supportive catering team in a modern kitchen, creating fresh, nutritious meals that bring comfort and joy to our residents every day. Helping create a home residents love, you’ll take pride in delivering service standards that are of the highest level. Utilising your exceptional skills and your passion for delivering fresh and wholesome meals, we believe you will fit right in.

We are seeking a Permanent Part Time Cook - 60 hours per fortnight, who can work the following fortnightly roster:

Week 1:Monday 9am to 5pm, Tuesday & Wednesday 6am to 2pm

Week 2:Monday 9am to 5pm, Tuesday & Wednesday 6am to 2pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am to 5pm

- Work alongside the Chef to assist with kitchen management
- Tailor meals to meet individual needs and preferences
- Ensure our residents are provided with healthy, nutritious and delicious meals
- Support the broader kitchen team to deliver a memorable dining experience

You’ll be a real team player who:

- A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Great communication and documentation skills
- Some experience within a commercial kitchen (Aged care highly regarded)
- A healthily amount of experience with a broad range of cuisines, dietary requirements in response to social, spiritual & cultural needs of our residents
