IT Manager - Hardware & Software FocusAre you a hands-on, results-driven IT Manager with a passion for optimising technology infrastructure and supporting business operations? We're seeking a dynamic and experienced IT leader to manage our hardware and software assets, ensuring seamless operations and driving continuous improvement. In this role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our IT environment, from hardware maintenance and software deployment to user support and security. You'll lead a team of IT professionals, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of our systems.
What you/'ll do:
- Hardware and Software Management: Oversee the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of all technology assets, including servers, workstations, and peripherals.
- Infrastructure Management: Ensure the stability, security, and performance of the company/'s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and data centres.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring cost-effective solutions and timely support.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to protect company data and systems.
- User Support: Provide exceptional technical support to end-users, resolving issues and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Budget Management: Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
- System Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Assist in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Cloud Services: Manage and maintain a variety of cloud services used within the company.
What you/'ll bring:
- Proven experience managing IT teams and infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software systems.
- Experience with network administration and security.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience with system implementations and upgrades.
- Experience in a manufacturing, transport, or similar environment is highly desirable.
