About the Opportunity

Carbal Medical Services is looking for full-time or part-time General Practitioners to join their team based in either Toowoomba or Warwick, QLD.

Reporting to the Chief Clinical Operations Officer and Clinical Lead, you will deliver culturally safe, patient-focused, and evidence-based healthcare. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to shaping Carbal's high-performing, community-led medical model.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Providing high-quality, evidence-based primary health care services

- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions

- Delivering culturally safe and trauma-informed care to a diverse patient population

- Participating in preventative health programs and health promotion

- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, Aboriginal Health Workers, and Allied Health

- Supporting care continuity and integrated care pathways

- Maintaining accurate and compliant clinical documentation

- Contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives

- For fellowship-qualified GPs: supervise registrars and contribute to growth of training programs.

- Option to develop a special interest (e.g. women’s health, dermatology, chronic disease, Indigenous health) with organisational support.

Essentials

- AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner

- Eligible to work in Australia

- Fellowship (FRACGP or ACRRM) — ideal for supervising trainees

- Experience working in an Aboriginal Medical Service, ACCHO, or culturally diverse health setting

- Comfort working in regional/rural environments and openness to flexibility

Remuneration is based on a generous percentage of billings, with daily earnings typically ranging between $2,000 and $3,000.

Recent earnings data from our GPs shows that Carbal’s percentage-of-billings model can deliver annual earnings between $305,000 and $398,000, even when working flexible, part-time schedules.

This strong earning potential is driven by Carbal’s multidisciplinary AMS model, where GPs benefit not only from their own consultations, but also from:
