The ideal candidate will be available to work flexible hours between 7am-6pm, Monday through Sunday, with the ability to adapt to various shifts and schedules. Availability during school holiday periods (including Christmas and Easter) is required.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provision of food and water for pets in care
- Health checks and general animal husbandry
- Supervising groups of dogs and managing their behavior to ensure overall wellbeing and safety
- Providing enrichment through play and scheduled activities
- Frequent cleaning and upkeep of the facility to maintain hygiene and safety standards
- Building and maintaining rapport with pet owners through feedback and transparency
- Creating and sharing media content such as videos and photos for pet owners
- Daily administrative tasks including answering inquiries via email and phone, record keeping, and updating our booking systems
Key requirements:
- Availability for a lawful unpaid work trial shift (aligned with The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines)
- Availability on weekends and school holiday periods
- Driven with a strong work ethic, as the role can be physically demanding
- Attentive with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to follow routines, policies, and procedures
- Previous experience working with animals is preferred
