Our Client, a well established Truck and a commercial vehicles located in the Moomba Region, South Australia provides high quality service. Currently they are looking for skilled and experienced full time Diesel Fitter to join their dynamic team. You must have experience working in automotive industry, involve with all aspects of Fittingwith formal qualification in automotive field. The workshop is clean and tidy with excellent facilities.
Your role will include the following duties;
- Diagnosing, repairing, fitting and overhauling diesel engines and plant equipment
- Maintaining, diagnosing, repairing and fitting hydraulic components of diesel attachments such as pumps and injectors.
- Dismantling, repairing and reassembling engines, transmissions, steering colts and other components.
- Using oxy, electric, TIG and MIG welding techniques to fit, replace, assemble, and repair metal parts including fabrication of parts, machinery and other equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicle fuel injections systems.
- Testing repaired parts for proper performance.
- Testing and repairing basic electrical circuits.
- Using computers and specialized tools to diagnose and repair faults.
- Inspecting vehicles and machinery for faults.
- Following workplace Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) protocols.
To secure this position it is essential that you;
-Hold AQF Certificate III in Fitter (general) including at least two years of work experience or AQF Certificate IV
-Ability to work unsupervised and following brand specifications
-Ability to troubleshoot and work proactively as part of a team
-Proven experience in repair of all auto electrical faults and diagnostic skills
-Sound experience in fault finding and fast breakdown response
Your creativity and specialized skills in automotive work on heavy vehicles is highly regarded.
Excellent salary package + Super (Between $ 75,000 to $ 90,000)
