Contract Opportunity: SAP S/4HANA HCM Solution Architect - Brisbane

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP S/4HANA Human Capital Management (HCM) Solution Architect for a significant 16-month contract with a major public sector organisation in Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in a large-scale Modern ERP Program, transforming the client's business processes and technological landscape.

The Role

As the SAP S/4HANA HCM Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the technical and functional architecture of the SAP S/4HANA solution, specifically for HCM and Payroll. You will ensure that the solution aligns with enterprise standards, business objectives, and program requirements, while maintaining technical integrity and scalability.

This is a hands-on role where you will collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including business process owners, enterprise architects, and third-party vendors. You will be instrumental in the delivery of key artefacts, including implementation architectures, technical and functional solution designs, and integration and data migration strategies.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

- Design and deliver the SAP S/4HANA solution architecture for HCM and Payroll, aligning with program objectives and enterprise standards.

- Organise and plan the solution approach, obtaining endorsement from relevant architectural teams.

- Review and develop solution specifications and ensure the quality of all technical deliverables.

- Engage with vendors to assess solutions and align them with the program's requirements.

- Facilitate workshops and forums to drive design, build, and architectural discussions.

- Define integration approaches with existing and third-party systems.

- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to validate functional and technical requirements.

Mandatory Requirements:

- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in SAP, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA HR, Payroll, time, and leave modules.

- Proven ability to design end-to-end Enterprise SAP HCM solutions that align with business processes and governance requirements.

- Experience with architectural frameworks and methodologies, particularly within the HCM module.

- Hands-on experience in data migration, system integration, BTP, Extensibility, and cloud-based ERP deployments.

- Expertise in integration tools and technologies for SAP Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS.

- Excellent stakeholder engagement and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.

Highly Desirable:

- SAP certifications in S/4HANA, BTP, or Enterprise Architecture.

- Previous experience with public sector ERP implementations.

- Knowledge of multi-phase SAP transformation programs (greenfield, brownfield, hybrid).

- Familiarity with ITIL-based change and release management processes.

- Proficiency in SAP Solution Manager (CALM).

Contract Details:

- Location: Brisbane CBD

- Assignment Duration: 16 months (01/09/2025 – 31/12/2026)

- Hours: 40 hours per week (as per client's award)
