Job Description
About the Role
Are you a creative powerhouse with an eye for detail and a passion for design? We’re looking for a Graphic Artist to join our Marketing team a hybrid role that blends the technical precision of a Finished Artworker with the creative flair of a Graphic Designer.
In this role, you’ll conceptualise, design, and execute packaging and promotional artwork across multiple formats, ensuring brand consistency and supporting our creative team in post-production for campaigns. You’ll play a key part in packaging renovation projects, new product development (NPD), and promotional campaigns, while also contributing to digital and visual merchandising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers and RDI (Research, Development & Innovation) team to lead packaging changes for sustainability and cost efficiency.
- Direct packaging print processes (digital, silkscreen, offset, flexo) and finishes (lamination, embossing, foiling, spot gloss, lacquering).
- Recommend embellishment direction (lamination, debossing, embossing, spot gloss, foiling, lacquering etc) – and understand impact on recyclable claims of product
- Ensure compliance with recyclable claims and sustainability standards.
- Develop creative artwork for packaging moulds and closures, balancing aesthetics and functionality.
- Liaise with packaging vendors on stock changes and material availability.
- Produce accurate artwork setups for primary and secondary packaging.
- Sign off production samples and attend press checks for colour accuracy.
- Create high-quality renders for production.
- Execute artwork changes for regulatory or ingredient updates.
- Advise on over-labelling requirements and manage artwork codes for traceability.
New Product Development (NPD)
- Lead design and print direction for new product packaging.
- Create decorative artwork within budget constraints.
- Assess decoration samples and sign off production samples.
- Produce final artwork and print proofs to achieve brand standards.
Promotions
- Adapt and finalise creative concepts for packaging and campaign applications.
- Advise on print restrictions, decoration samples, and price label stock.
- Produce promotional finished artwork, colour proofs, and renders.
- Recommend embellishment direction (lamination, debossing, embossing, spot gloss, foiling, lacquering etc) – and understand impact on recyclability goals
- Attend press checks and approve production samples.
Graphic Design
- Develop and execute creative assets across a range of formats, including digital assets, eDMs, website graphics, and printed collateral
- Interpret content briefs and generate campaign assets for all Western Markets, across multiple touchpoints, online & instore
- Manage multiple graphic design projects simultaneously, working to tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail and quality standards
- Support the creation of templates and collateral that enable efficient content production across the team while upholding brand guidelines
- Maintain and enforce brand style guides.
Store Design & Visual Merchandising Creative
- Interpret Store design & VM briefs and generate print-ready assets.
- Create and prepare files for production, ensuring accuracy for both digital delivery and print specifications
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
We’re looking for a commercially savvy, people-focused leader with a passion for skincare and retail. You will bring:
- 5yrs+ experience in graphic design and finished artwork for packaging.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Artwork & Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of print processes and embellishments.
- A strong creative portfolio demonstrating design excellence in both graphic and packaging.
- Expertise in packaging materials and formats (plastic, glass, cartons, labels).
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Understanding of colour management and Pantone matching.
- Experience attending press checks and working with print vendors.
- Ability to produce high-quality renders and digital assets.
- Familiarity with sustainability principles in packaging design.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy in artwork setup.
- Creative thinker with strong aesthetic judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative and proactive team player.
- Strong communication skills for vendor and stakeholder engagement.
- Comfortable with feedback and interactive design processes
