We are seeking a Career Medical Officer (CMO) to join our dedicated team, providing expert care to patients with life-limiting illnesses across the Hunter New England Local Health District.

In this pivotal role, you will:

- Deliver high‑quality clinical care under the direction of the Director Medical Services, specialist team, or consultant on call.

- Support the effective management of community‑based patients, with consultative in‑reach into Maitland and Dungog Hospitals.

- Provide specialist palliative care advice and management, focusing on symptom relief, psychosocial support, and holistic wellbeing.

- Participate in telehealth support and district‑wide specialist medical on‑call services.

- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure care is compassionate, dignified, and aligned with patient values and goals.

- Contribute to improving continuity of care, service coordination, patient handover, and planning processes.
