About the Role

We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Textile Technologist to support the development and performance of raw materials used in the manufacture of uniforms for our clients.

This role plays a key part in ensuring fabrics and trims meet quality, environmental, and compliance standards, with a focus on material performance, sustainability, and supplier collaboration. You’ll work closely with internal teams and suppliers to assist in testing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll be doing

- Assist in the research, development, and lifecycle tracking of fabrics and proprietary trims.

- Help maintain the fabric/materials library, including test data and compliance documentation.

- Support quality and environmental checks to ensure raw materials meet required standards.

- Contribute to material sourcing activities aimed at improving efficiency and reducing duplication.

- Assist with lab testing and performance analysis of fabric developments.

- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to support product compliance with relevant standards.

- Provide input into cost-effective development outcomes and help track costing data.

- Support ethical sourcing and sustainability efforts across fabric and trim suppliers.

- Build positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and supply partners.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, quality, and delivery.

What we’re looking for

You’re a technical expert in textile development with a strong commercial mindset. You thrive in complex environments where quality, sustainability, and innovation intersect.

You will ideally have:

- Degree or Certificate in Textile Design, Development, Manufacturing, or a related field.

- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in textile or raw materials development, ideally with exposure to quality and compliance processes.

- Basic understanding of fabric testing methods, performance standards, and global sourcing practices.

- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or EIA:632 standards is desirable but not essential.

- Experience with PLM systems is a plus.
