Join Our Team

Be part of a fun and inclusive team that takes pride in their work. Here's what your day will look like:

- Provide full grooming services to a variety of breeds, including bathing, drying, nail clipping, brushing, combing, and breed-specific clipping
- Create a positive and memorable grooming experience for all customers and their dogs
- Coordinate the grooming salon and client appointments with the Store Manager
- Make client bookings
- Assist the store shop floor team when needed
- Work with the Store Manager and team to meet member program targets and expectations
- Support local marketing opportunities and recruitment referral programs
- Work with the team to achieve and surpass sales targets
- Maintain a strong safety mindset and foster a culture of safety within the team

What We Need

- Experience in professional dog grooming
- Qualification in Grooming is preferred but not essential
- Ability to implement and promote safety practices in the salon and store
- Good knowledge of breed-specific clipping
- Physical fitness to handle heavy animals
- Experience in handling and working with live animals
- Knowledge of breed clips and product knowledge
- Understanding of zoonotic and skin diseases and how to identify them
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage conflicting priorities
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Commitment to representing Petstock's interests in business, branding, and animal care
- Strong interpersonal skills to build customer and team relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
