Civil Drafter

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage systems, earthworks, utilities, and site layouts.
Interpret engineering sketches, verbal instructions, and specifications to create accurate plans and technical documents.
Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar CAD software to develop and modify drawings.
Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure drawings are accurate and meet project requirements.
Ensure all drawings comply with local codes, industry standards, and project specifications.
Maintain organized documentation of all drafting work and revisions.
Assist in preparing quantities, cost estimates, and technical reports as needed.
Participate in site visits to gather data or verify design accuracy when necessary.
Stay updated on software developments and drafting techniques.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering Drafting, CAD Technology, or related field.
Proven experience (2+ years preferred) as a Civil Draftsperson or in a similar role.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant drafting software.
Understanding of civil engineering concepts and construction practices.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with GIS, Revit, or BIM tools is a plus.
Familiarity with local building codes and engineering standards.
Knowledge of surveying data and topographical interpretation.
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
May involve tight deadlines and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
