We are seeking qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician to join Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) Blacktown. Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) Australia are primary vehicle distribution centres for Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks and UD Trucks, offering sales, service and parts for Volvo Group vehicles.

Your future team

This role will be based at our Volvo Commercial Vehicles dealership in Blacktown, which forms part of the larger Volvo Group Australia umbrella. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the team of 60 workshop staff are made up of Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Apprentices, Parts Interpreters, Service Advisors and Costing Clerks. The VCV Blacktown dealership pride themselves on an inclusive and stable work environment.

Our Heavy Vehicle Mechanics have the opportunity to work on Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, Mack and UD Trucks, some of Australia/'s most innovative transport brands. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing and maintenance on trucks and buses, in line with Volvo Group/'s standards.

Responsibilities

- Steering and suspension repairs

- Electrical faults, diagnosis and repairs

- Braking systems diagnosis and repairs

- Preventative maintenance services and repairs

- Offisite and breakdown repairs

Qualifications

- A Heavy Vehicle mechanical qualification

- Experience working with Volvo, Mack, UD or other European truck or bus brands is highly regarded

- Some exposure to light auto-electrical work

- A pro-active attitude with a drive to work efficiently

- A positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset

- Yearly earning potential of $92K to $112K dependent on experience

- $49.09 weekly tool allowance and quarterly bonuses

- 18% shift loading for afternoon shift

- Uniforms supplied with on-site laundering

- Opportunity for upskilling to become dual trade qualified
