About our role

Northern Star Resources have full-time, permanent opportunities for experienced Excavator Operators to join our world-class Thunderbox and Bronzewing Operations. These opportunities are offered on an even time 15 shifts on, 13 days off roster.

Responsibilities

- Maintain optimate production though the excavation of ore and waste from the mine
- Conducting pre-start meetings in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures
- Reporting hazards when encountering them to ensure a safe work environment
- Following Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safe operation of mobile plant equipment
- Working towards reducing costs in daily jobs by not wasting resources at hand

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience operating Liebherr 9400 Excavators, with 5 years’ experience in an open pit environment. Gold mining experience highly regarded.

Qualification: Current Australian C – Class Drivers licence

Passion for growth: Interest in gold mining with high regard to safety
