A temporary part time position commencing 27 January 2026 until 17 December 2026 as a School Support Officer - Diverse Learning Needs (60 hours per fortnight) at Corpus Christi Catholic High School, Oak Flats.

Job Summary

This position exists to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching. This classroom-based position requires you to work collaboratively with teachers, providing assistance in all areas of student learning and management.

Responsibilities and Selection Criteria

The preferred applicant demonstrates the following essential criteria:

- A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Ability to support children’s individual learning in the classroom.
- Understanding of and ability to work with students with diverse needs.
- Ability to interact positively with students.
- Technical competence in appropriate technologies.

Desirable selection criteria include:

- Previous experience in similar settings.
- Experience with the PB4L framework.

Requirements

The following general capabilities are applicable to the role:

- Well developed written and oral communication skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications required:

- Certificate III in Classroom Support or equivalent
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate

A working with children clearance is required prior to commencement.
