We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organisations desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

The candidate will be part of a 20+ member team that is being built to provide L3 support in a global environment.

Responsibilities

- Managing & maintaining SUSE Servers
- Managing IBM, DELL, Lenovo, Fujitsu and HP HANA appliance servers; building/re-imaging SUSE Linux servers in physical and virtual environments; managing Linux virtual machines configured in ESX environments
- Providing Level 3 support to customers
- Managing the Antivirus environment
- Patching and OS upgrades on SUSE servers
- Exposure to DNS, NFS, Samba, FTP, LDAP, NTP, Email services; knowledge of SAN or NAS environments
- Knowledge of RAID, LVM; package management; scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Perl); exposure to clusters
- Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, IP routing and name resolution)
- Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues
- OS concepts on security, backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, LDAP, high availability and disaster recovery concepts, monitoring
- Knowledge in configuration management systems such as Ansible, Puppet
- Knowledge in Docker/containerization, Kubernetes
- Must have: Skills in Cloud (AWS or Azure or both is an advantage)
- Skills in AWS: EBS, EFS, VPC, Elastic Beanstalk, SNS, CloudWatch, S3, EC2, Auto Scaling
- Hands-on with NSG & NACL, firewall management
- Responsible for creating and managing EC2 instances using VPCs; AWS EC2 CLI tools for auto-scaling, backup management, S3 management
- Thorough knowledge of Azure IAAS and PaaS; architectural guidance for Azure solutions
- Strong knowledge of Azure App Services, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
- Good understanding of Azure storage options and Azure networking (VNETS, NSGs, ExpressRoute, site-to-site and point-to-site connections)
- Strong knowledge of security options in Azure
- Hands-on experience with Windows PowerShell
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate

Experience – 8 to 12 years in Linux administration along with Cloud experience. Proficient spoken and verbal English communication.
