About the Role

NQM Gold 2 is currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Underground Electrician to join our Underground Maintenance team at our Pajingo operations. Reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor, this hands-on role is responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and installation of electrical infrastructure in an underground mining environment.

This is a permanent full-time position operating on a 7 days on / 7 days off roster - ideal for those looking to balance a rewarding career with lifestyle flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and repair underground electrical infrastructure and equipment.
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and breakdown repairs.
- Ensure all work is compliant with statutory and company standards.
- Fault finding and diagnostics on SCADA, HMI, and PLC systems.
- Support and supervise contractors as required.
- Identify and report hazards, contributing to continuous safety improvements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential:

- Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in underground maintenance electrical work.
- Strong understanding of high voltage switching and permitting systems.
- Experience with Sandvik and Epiroc underground drills.
- Proficiency with leaky feeder communications and telemetry systems.
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work in a small, dynamic team.
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Highly Regarded:

- Exposure to SAP or other maintenance management systems.
- Previous mining or heavy industrial experience.
