Air Conditioning Mechanic Required

We require an experienced person that Plans, Assembles, installs, maintains and repairs industrial, commercial and domestic air conditioning, refrigeration systems and equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Project work - Perform air condition maintenance and repairs;
• Drilling holes, installing mounting brackets and cutting, bending and threading piping and checking that parts are installed, lined up and fit properly; bolting, soldering, riveting, welding and brazing pipes to connect equipment, and checking alignment and accuracy of fit.
• establishing job requirements from drawings and specifications, and laying out installation reference points
• Preparing plans and specifications to install, commission, service and maintain components, such as compressor, condenser, orifice tube/expansion valve, evaporator, accumulator/drier, refrigerant, charge port/Schrader valve, compressor clutch, hose assembly, cycling switch and control panel;
• Ductwork in building sites (duct installation); Fan installation;
• Follow detailed installations instructions and manuals;
• Test electrical circuits and components for continuity, using electrical test equipment;
• Using computers to monitor systems and remotely adjusting the operation of all Aircon systems.
• installing and repairing components such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches and gauges, and copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, oil and chilled water
• Diagnose malfunctions, faults and the breakdowns of the machinery and perform necessary repairs on and off the job site. Performing emergency repairs;
• Record data when inspecting systems, such as temperature of equipment, fuel consumption and hours of operation
• Reassemble and test equipment following repairs;
• Adjusting system controls and mechanisms and reassembling systems.
Skills required: A AQF certificate 3 with at least 2 years experience or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
