Fitter Machinist Apprentice Trainer

Key Responsibilities:

- Developing, implementing and facilitating the Mechanical apprentice competency training program, with the governance framework
- Facilitating the apprentice curriculum, including practical, theoretical and assessments
- Managing the apprentice workshop environment
- Building relationships and coaching the business in the management of the process
- Demonstrate safe work behaviours through leading by example, identifying and acting on opportunities to improve safety standards and performance
- Engage with Maintenance teams to ensure appropriate and timely planning of required training

About You:

We are looking for Mechanical Trades people that have worked in an industrial environment that will lead our apprentices to reach their full potential.

- Fitter trade qualification, including Certificate III Engineering, Fitter and Turner or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Fitting trade
- Experience as a facilitator and within a competency-based training environment preferred but not essential
- High level literacy, including computer literacy
- Strong communication and engagement skills
- Understanding of and training experience in a manufacturing/mining operational environment
- Demonstrated understanding of training methodologies and blended learning preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated experience in writing documents and other literacy preferred but not essential
- Understanding and experience in development of training and assessment materials
