CSE Crosscom is seeking a motivated Apprentice Radio Technician to join our growing Technical Services team. This is the perfect opportunity for a recent school leaver or someone looking to start a career in communications, electronics, or field service work.

About the Role

As an Apprentice Radio Technician, you’ll learn on the job while completing your Certificate III qualification. Working alongside experienced technicians, you’ll gain practical skills across a wide range of technologies, including:

- Radio and wireless communication systems

- Microwave and antenna systems

- RF patches, system switches & control systems

- Uninterruptable Power Supplies

- Asset tracking technologies

You’ll be involved in real fieldwork, workshop repairs, and project installations while developing strong technical and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with servicing, testing, and repairing electronic components

- Support technicians with field servicing, installations, and project work

- Learn to use system monitors, analysers, and precision test equipment

- Maintain workshop housekeeping and assist with vehicle upkeep

- Record task times, update technical registers, and support stock control

- Participate in safety and quality processes

- Undertake training in areas such as EWP, working at heights, tower rescue, open cabling, and more

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Interested in electronics, communications, or hands‑on technical work

- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn

- Able to work safely and follow instructions

- Comfortable using basic computer programs (Microsoft Word & Excel)

- Well‑presented with a positive, professional attitude

- Committed to completing their Certificate III studies

No experience required — just enthusiasm and a willingness to grow your skills.
