Overview

Permanent Nanny/Housekeeper - Part Time in Hawthorn, Melbourne. Dual-professional household with two young children (aged 3.5 years and 18 months). Currently two nannies are supporting the household; they are seeking a third nanny to join on a part-time basis to ensure continuity of care. This is a two-full-day role with a generous package and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

- Caring for two young children (sole charge)

- Preparing meals and snacks for the children and some meals for the whole family

- Light housekeeping related to the children (tidying bedrooms, toy areas, children’s laundry)

- Supporting the children’s daily routines and activities

- Working alongside two existing nannies in a coordinated, team-based model

- Transporting the children to and from kinder, childcare, and classes

Schedule and Hours

Two weekdays per week, with the possibility of adding additional days over time. Exact weekdays are flexible and can be discussed with the successful candidate. Hours: 07:00–19:30.

Salary

$40–$45 per hour based on experience

Qualifications and Experience

- Must-have:

- 12+ months experience working with toddlers

- Valid Working with Children Check

- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a household with multiple caregivers

- On-time reliability

- Proactive attitude

- At least two references who are happy to be contacted by phone

- Fluent spoken and written English

- Comfort and reliability communicating with parents and other nannies via WhatsApp

- Valid Driver’s Licence and ability/willingness to drive locally (e.g., for childcare & kinder pick-ups/drop-offs)

- Ability to work independently with a proactive approach

- Strongly preferred:

- Proficiency and passion for cooking meals for the whole family

- Flexibility to add extra hours on scheduled days on an ad-hoc basis
