Social Worker - Grade One

- 5 weeks annual leave plus monthly ADO’s

RMH Mental Health Services provides compassionate, evidence-based care across inpatient, community, residential, and specialist programs. We support consumers and their families/carers through a recovery-oriented approach, from acute interventions to ongoing community care. As part of RMH, we collaborate with leading clinicians, researchers, and partners to improve outcomes for people with serious mental illness.

About the role:

- Full-time Social Work position in the two-year Allied Health Graduate Program, offering a graded and supported introduction to mental health social work
- Work with consumers and families using a strengths-based, recovery-focused model as part of a multidisciplinary team and supportive community
- Comprehensive orientation, monthly education days, clinical supervision, and peer support, with a strong focus on self-care and professional development
- Career progression support to apply for a Grade 2 role after completion, generous salary packaging, and monthly ADOs
- Open to new graduates or those with less than two years’ experience; commence by Tuesday, 27 January 2026

About you:

- A recent Social Work graduate or early career social worker (less than two years’ experience)
- Genuine interest in and passion for a career in public mental health
- Committed to partnering with consumers and families in their recovery journey
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with key stakeholders
- Commitment to ongoing learning, development, and critical reflection in supervision
- Approved degree from a recognised School of Social Work (or eligibility for AASW membership)
- Applications welcome from students completing their qualification prior to January 2026
- Hold a full driver’s licence

- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and those with experience in working with ACHO and Aboriginal Communities and Families are strongly encouraged to apply.
