Key Responsibilities

- Communicate with client to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions.

- Lead, direct and support daily operations as well as spearheading the development and rollout of improvement initiatives.

- Be solely responsible for the overall performance of project execution.

- Provide customer reports and analysis.

- Responsible for managing all files (CargoWise registration to archiving), ensure comprehensive and up to date data is recorded and processed in company databases according to company procedures.

- Liaise with and provide advice to management, branches, overseas networks regarding project business.

- Manage sub-con onboarding and ongoing performance.

- Assist with obtaining all necessary paperwork, permits, licenses, bonds, and insurance to execute shipment(s).

- Facilitate the provision of operational supports including import documentation, synchronisation of origin/destination zone transport, customs formalities and the overall scope of the door to door trade.

- Ensure all customer details are maintained and kept up to date.

- Manage the P&L activity of all files, identify, and mitigate risks where possible.

Skills, knowledge and expertise

- Minimum 10 years’ experience in international freight forwarding, with proven expertise in over-dimensional and heavy-lift cargo movements.

- Strong understanding of contractual terms and the commercial and financial responsibilities associated with major infrastructure clients.

- Proficiency in CargoWise and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

- High level of verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and produce clear operational reports.

- Project Management qualification (Diploma or higher) is highly desirable.

- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
