Position Details

Special Needs Education Assistant

Holy Spirit School is searching for a Special Needs EA to work in our Year 4 classroom. The ideal candidate will provide 1:1 support for a student in the class for 3 days each week and will also assist other students as needed on the remaining 2 days, at the discretion of the Principal.

Selection Criteria

- Understands and supports the Catholic tradition and ethos of the school.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills and works collaboratively with staff and students.
- Is passionate about all children reaching their individual potential.
- Has experience in working in a Special Needs support role within a classroom.
- Is willing and able to provide assistance with personal care needs, including toileting.
- Readily assists and contributes positively to all areas of school life.
- Shows a willingness to undertake professional development and set professional goals.

Qualifications Required

Certificate 3 or 4 in Education Support/Special Needs Support.
