HammondCare is an independent Christian charity specialising in dementia care, palliative care, and rehabilitation, specialist mental health for older people and other health and aged services.
Job Description
Helping our residents leave a legacy.
As a HammondCare Biography Writing volunteer, your listening and writing skills will allow HammondCare residential clients to record their stories, memories, and messages for loved ones.
Ideally, you'll have the following skills:
1. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
2. 50 words per minute typing skills
3. Ability to work independently and problem solve
4. Willingness to learn new technology and software. You will be using a Dictaphone and a transcription software program
5. Availability for a long term commitment and up to 5 hours per week. The transcription and editing process can occur in the evenings, while the face-to-face interview will occur on a weekday (Monday-Friday between 9am-4pm) for one hour.

Requirements
18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare plus NDIS Worker Screening Check.
