The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and committed TAS/Food Technology/VET Hospitality Teacher to join our secondary teaching team. This is a permanent full-time role commencing in Week 3, Term 4, 2025.

The successful candidate will fit the following criteria:

- Extensive, contemporary and authoritative professional knowledge and understanding of the teaching of technology and the factors that influence learning and the development of skills.
- Use effective pedagogies, a range of differentiated assessment approaches and a wide variety of stimulating and interactive resources to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Build effective relationships and manage complex interactions and balance the development of skills and knowledge.
- Create engaging, intellectually challenging and safe learning environments through planning, implementing and evaluating rigorous and inclusive learning programs.
- Make a positive difference to the learning outcomes of the students taught.
- Sensitive and responsive to all aspects of the context in which they teach including use of technology and other resources, teaching practices and ways in which assessment and feedback is provided to students.
- Excellent teachers of Technology are committed to the continual improvement of their teaching practice and take opportunities for personal professional development.
- They work creatively and constructively within a range of communities inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for themselves and their students.
- Exhibit personal approaches characterised by caring and respect for others.

Qualifications and accreditations

- Current Working with Children Check clearance.
- Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
- Qualification and credentials in the relevant area.
