Coordinator Human Resources
Co‑tamundra‑Gundagai Regional Council invites expressions of interest for the position of Coordinator Human Resources. This 12‑month contract starts in 2026 and supports the Council’s core HR structures across two locations.
As a key player you will develop and implement innovative HR strategies, enhance organisational culture, provide expert advice to Executive Management, and lead Payroll and Workforce Management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide specialist HR advice and support as the first point of contact for staff and managers.
- Supervise Payroll, HR and Payroll Officers (x2, 1 FTE).
- Ensure payroll complies with award, salary system and legislative requirements.
- Prepare the Council’s Workforce Management Plan (minimum 4 years) and communicate the strategy.

Salary range: $1,748.35 to $2,045.33 gross per week. 12% superannuation. 9‑day fortnight.

Accounts Payable Officer – Maternity Relief (12‑month contract)
Cootamundra‑Gundagai Regional Council seeks an Accounts Payable Officer for a 12‑month maternity relief contract at the Gundagai office.
In this role you will administer payments, maintain creditor records, and ensure timely, accurate processing of invoices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carry out the accounts payable function per established procedures, policies and legislation.
- Maintain the accounts payable database and accurate creditor information.
- Ensure efficient payment systems for timely disbursement.
- Complete purchasing documentation before invoice processing.
Salary range: $1,265.31 to $1,480.75 gross per week. 12% superannuation. 9‑day fortnight.

The Council is looking for a Customer Service Officer to be the first point of contact for residents, visitors and businesses in a fast‑paced team environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handle enquiries and complaints professionally.
- Provide office cashiering functions and accurate payment recording.
- Coordinate with other customer service officers and Council departments.
- Ensure accurate booking of Council facilities and obtain insurance details.
- Perform administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
Salary range: $1,230.20 to $1,439.10 gross per week. 12% superannuation. 9‑day fortnight.

The Council invites applications for a Project Engineer – Civil to manage civil infrastructure projects, including roads, stormwater drainage, bridges and related works.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage investigation, planning, survey and design of civil infrastructure.
- Engage and manage external consultants for detailed design and cost estimates.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise construction and maintenance activities.
- Provide technical advice to Engineering Services Manager.
- Ensure safety, compliance with legislation, procurement policy and council standards.
- Prepare tender documentation and manage tender evaluation.
Salary range: $2,014.14 to $2,356.59 gross per week. Civil Liability Allowance (degree qualified). 12% superannuation. 9‑day fortnight. Motor vehicle leaseback agreement (optional).
