Overview

A leading bank in Australia is looking for a senior solution architect to join their CTO office to deliver transformation work across digital banking, consumer finance, etc., with a deep understanding of technology trends, platforms, and methodologies and the ability to think strategically to design solutions that meet business requirements. We are currently on the lookout for a highly skilled Solution Architect, specifically working within the banking domain (consumer banking, if preferable).

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop high-level and detailed technical design specifications that are aligned with the overall solution architecture.
- Lead the implementation of solutions, including the coordination of development and deployment activities, and management of vendors.
- Ensure that solutions are aligned with the organisation/'s technology road map and architecture principles.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and make recommendations for the adoption of new technologies where appropriate.
- Mentor and guide development teams to ensure that solutions are delivered on time and to a high standard.

Qualifications / Skills

- The role requires someone with a robust understanding of banking, especially consumer banking / consumer finance, who can help us design and implement effective solutions, mostly on existing applications.
- The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in solution architecture, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team to drive our projects forward.
- Qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related.
- Experience with solution architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement technical solutions that meet business requirements.
- Strong technical skills with an understanding of different technologies, architecture patterns and design principles.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, system integration, and cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinker.
- Adaptable leader who can problem solve and guide others.
- Strong attention to detail.
