Specialist Doctor – Paediatrician

Connecting the Docs is partnering with our regional health services to connect paediatric specialists with meaningful rural opportunities. These positions offer flexible full or part-time opportunities to deliver high-quality paediatric care across diverse clinical settings.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing comprehensive paediatric care across inpatient, outpatient, newborn, and emergency settings.

- Managing a range of acute and chronic paediatric presentations, including developmental, behavioural, neonatal, and general medical issues.

- Supporting neonatal resuscitation, newborn assessments, and special care nursery management.

- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise care pathways for children and families.

- Mentoring junior doctors, paediatric trainees, medical students, and GP proceduralists.

- Contributing to paediatric education, simulation training, and child health initiatives.

- Leading quality improvement and patient safety activities within paediatric services.

- Supporting rural hospitals with outreach clinics and virtual paediatric consultations.
