Banksy Bar & Kitchen is a modern cafe and espresso bar located in Broadbeach, Gold Coast, Queensland. We offer sit down brunch and dinner options, both dine-in and takeaway, using organic coffee beans roasted by Quest Coffee Roasters. Dinner service currently runs on Fridays and Saturdays.

We are looking for an experienced Cook / All Rounder to join our team

Position:Cook / All Rounder
Hours:15 - 25 hours/week (Casual) - Mon, Tue, and one other day
Schedule:Flexible based on experience and interest e.g. dinners, weekends, or assisting with baking and prep.
Rate:$35.00 to $37.00 / hr + Super, Bonuses, and Penalty Rates
Location:Broadbeach, Gold Coast, QLD

Responsibilities

- Food Preparation & Cooking:Prepare and cook a variety of sweet and savoury dishes.
- Equipment Maintenance:Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly.
- Safety & Sanitation:Enforce food safety, sanitation regulations, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Customer Interaction:Address customer feedback and collaborate with front-of-house on food-related concerns.
- Barista and Floor:This is an all rounder position, so there will be Front of House shifts either Barista or floor focused

About You

Professional Requirements

- Minimum 3 or more years of recent experience as a Cook or Chef
- 2 or more years Front of House experience e.g. Barista, Runner, Service
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills
- A strong understanding of health and safety

Personal Requirements

- Australian citizen or resident with permanent working rights in Australia
- Availability to work at least 1 weekend day per week
- Loves high quality food
- Own transport to and from work

Nice to have

- Barista experience.
- Professional cookery, chef, or food science certification or degree.
- Baking experience.
