Council of the City of Sydney, Australia Stake Australia Full time

Stake is looking for a Trading Operations Analyst to join us at our Sydney HQ, with a flexible hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 WFH).

We’re an Australian investing platform that helps ambitious people confidently grow their wealth. By offering seamless, immersive access to the share markets, we’ve empowered a new wave of investors. Stake has grown fast from a fintech startup into a robust financial services company. Today we have 750,000+ customers and more than A$7 billion under administration.

At Stake, we break barriers in everything we do. Just like our customers, we’re driven by ambition. Our desire for continuous growth is what creates the collaborative and high-performance environment we work in. Though we’re spread around the world, we’re a unified team moving towards a shared vision: to unleash the investor in everyone.

Join us as we continue to reshape the financial industry, inspiring investor confidence and celebrating our wins along the way.

About this role

We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trading Analyst to join our dynamic Operations team. You’ll manage the end-to-end processing of share transfers and trade settlements across the ASX market, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure timely and accurate settlement of ASX trades (T+2) and reconcile daily trade data with broker records, resolving discrepancies and failures.

- Process and validate all share transfers, including HINs, Off-Market Transfers, and internal movements, in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

- Support corporate actions processing (dividends, share splits, takeovers) and daily reconciliation of Managed Fund transactions.

- Investigate and resolve exceptions requiring manual intervention, verifying client documents and ensuring compliance.

- Communicate promptly and professionally with clients and our broker partner regarding transfers, settlements, and related queries.

- Maintain accurate client records (e.g., name or address updates) and ensure adherence to internal policies, SLAs, and regulatory obligations.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation opportunities.

A bit about you

- 3+ years of experience in a trading front, middle, or back-office role.

- A solid foundation in back-office operations, ideally with experience at a brokerage or financial institution.

- Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail are crucial.

- Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of the stock market.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you'll be in direct contact with brokers and internal teams.

- Highly adaptable, proactive, and resilient, thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

At Stake, we’re more interested in your attitude than your resume. If you believe this is a role you want to jump into, please apply and let us know why in your cover letter
