The Concierge is responsible for reception and office support as part of the extended facilities team, including front-of-house coordination, facilities support and managing the security facilities to provide support and assistance to ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the office and at reception. You will work in our Sydney office each day Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 3.30pm alongside a peer who works 9.00am to 5.00pm, so flexibility may be required on occasion to work the later shift.

The team

The Concierge operates as part of the Property and Facilities team (PF) within the Chief of Staff and Enterprise Services (ChES) division of APRA, which is responsible for supporting the achievement of APRA’s corporate strategies, policies, and procedures. This involves the delivery of various services to APRA’s internal clients and external stakeholders utilising both internal and external resources.

Key responsibilities

- Monitor incoming calls and emails promptly and efficiently as the face and voice of APRA;
- Escort visitors from the ground floor to our secure floor, signing them in and alerting employees of their arrival;
- Provide administrative assistance to the Office Manager and Facilities team, such as onboarding new employees, catering requests and disseminating information including to our interstate offices;
- Assist with security as part of the Facilities function, such as issuing access passes and facilitating tenancy access;
- Assist and support service calls to contractors for works, including organising access and notifying building management;
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers;
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service, with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise and comfortable working independently;
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills;
- Willingness and initiative to undertake a range of tasks, take ownership of processes and identify areas of improvement;
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to operate general office equipment, along with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite service desk workflow platforms;
- Relevant experience in an office setting, preferably in an administrative or reception role.

To work with us, you must be an Australian citizen with eligibility to gain a Baseline Security clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
