ABOUT THE ROLE

HillSideChristianCollegeiss seeking a part-time Secondary Food Technology Teacher for a position commencing Term One, 2026.

There is potential for an initial one or two-year fixed term contract with the possibility of conversion to ongoing status.

Salary is based on the College’s Teacher Pay Scale and negotiable on qualifications and experience.

KEY EXPECTATIONS

Secondary Teachers with capability to deliver:

- Year 8 and 9 Food Technology

- Year 10 Christian Studies

- Availability to work Monday and Wednesdays (late start/early finish) and a full day Friday.

Successful applicants will be practising evangelical Christians, who are able to demonstrate and work within the College’s Christian framework. All teachers will need to accept the College’s Code of Conduct (including Statement of Faith) and meet all compliance requirements. All teachers will be expected to be able to teach from a Christian worldview.

HOW TO APPLY

Applicants should be able to demonstrate their personal faith in Jesus Christ as God and Saviour and be an active member of an evangelical Christian Church. The applicant should be a dynamic teacher with high-level skills, proven experience and the desire to work within a Christian team setting.

All applicants must include:

1. Cover letter outlining their suitability for the role within the context of HillSide Christian College, in the secondary school setting (maximum two pages):

- Demonstrating their experience and ability to successfully teach Year 8 and 9 Food Technology and Year 10 Christian Studies.

- Discussing their educational philosophy and how they would contribute positively to a teaching role in the context of HillSide Christian College;

2. Current CV outlining qualifications, church membership, professional referees, contact details, and career history.

3. A written reference from a Pastor/Elder or the contact details of a Pastor/Elder who may be contacted for a verbal reference in regard to the applicant’s Christian faith, character and practice.

4. A copy of compliance documents named in the dot points below:

- a current Working with Children Check (WWCC)

- a current TRBWA Registration

5. When requested:

- Birth certificate or Passport, or Visa Grant or VEVO document as relevant, demonstrating Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or unrestricted rights to work in Australia.

- Photographic identification.

- Copy of all qualifications.

- Any other requested compliance requirements.
